Peter Dempster is a non-entity at his high school, an afterthought, and a social outcast. He’s not athletic enough to run with the jocks or rich enough to hang with the high society crowd, and he’s not talented enough to…well, do anything with computers or science, so he’s not even a nerd.

But when he’s struck by lightning one night while sitting at his computer, everything changes. He changes. And pretty soon, it’s clear that no one can ignore him anymore.
This chance event knocks Peter out and knocks him into the realization that he can fold into his computer screen and into a digital world. In his digitized form, Peter interacts with the bits and bytes and other never before seen or heard or understood personalities that make up Cyberworld.

It’s a dangerous world, both inside and out. But he’s not just a strange new visitor – he’s been expected. An unknown ‘they’ have been watching Peter’s every move.
This place will transform Peter into something he would never have thought he could be or even aspire to be - a hero.

Like a bolt of lighting on the head this is simply Sci-fi at its very finest!

I was completely engulfed in this Sci-fi book that was vividly illustrated, fun and thrilling. Main Character Peter Dempster I thought developed superbly throughout the story. He was easy to relate to and carried the plot theme all the way to the very end. I loved the originality in this story. The part of Peter being able to fold himself up and go into his computer screen enthralled my senses and put a smile on my face.

Author Gary Sheerin portrayed Peter’s character in a way that helped paint the picture of my own High School days, were I was not the most popular kid on the block. He definitely took me back and made me wish there was something perhaps not a bolt of lighting, but something that could have changed my fate.

In short this book is well written, it flows perfectly, the characters are easy to relate too, there’s a bit of suspense and build up that leads you to an unexpected ending.

Great book for Young Adults to get there hands on, even though as an Adult I enjoyed it superbly.

5 Stars and cant wait to see what Author Gary Sheerin comes up with next.

One of the best ebook i have ever read in this section. loved how the chapter numbers were converted into binary ip addresses for each chapter at the beginning.
I love fiction books and all the tech stuff that was i this book. I enjoy technology so this book was for me. The author delivered an awesome story, which included Sci-Fi and Tech stuff, in which i both really love. I would recommend it to anyone that is a tech kind of person. This is a must read.
I have to admit i always am not really a major lover regarding fictional guides, although from good friend suggested this particular ebook in my experience My spouse and i afforded that an attempt. My spouse and i loved that! It got about 2 days and nights to learn. My business is really straight into pcs and so i found this particular ebook satisfying. I do think the actual history is extremely good for virtually every era. We are mailing away a new replicate for you to my nephew.
A lot of people either really like science fiction or really dislike it. I am one of those who loves science fiction, and as soon as I started reading this I got hooked. If you enjoy science fiction in general, I highly recommend you grab this book. You definitely won't regret it once you start getting into it.
The storyline is ok but predictable. The language / vocabulary is very basic. I would recommend it for grade school age kids to read. Although the hero escapes at the end, the storyline is incomplete since the bad guys were not eliminated. Maybe a sequel is planned. I think tech savvy kids would find this book silly.
This is a great book. While anybody who likes sci-fi will love it, it has a lot of appeal to people who just read general fiction. The characters are well developed and the "hero" is someone you can identify with. I believe that this book will appeal to a wide range of readers and I will definitely read the next book by Gary Sheerin.
Digi is the tale of Peter, who is painfully computer illiterate. His father has lost his job recently, and Terry, a rich bully who also happens to be successful in every area Peter lacks in, takes special delight in tormenting him. One night while agonizing over his computer class homework, lightning causes a surge and Peter soon realizes he can see all the manifestations of various code and programs that make the computer work.

Peter is easy to relate to. Nothing ever seems to go right for him, but he does the best he can and steps up to set things right when given a chance. Sometimes the dialogue and characters are a little weird (like a goth/screamo girl who backflips out of rooms), but it adds some welcome flavor to the text. I think the book is also a little bit educational, and although it certainly takes liberties with some aspects of programming and computers, I think it might be a good way to get kids into that kind of thing. There are some mistakes that a further round of editing could catch, like missing punctuation. The sudden powers Peter finds himself with, as well as his "magical" friends the dumpies, gives the usual fantasy genre and interesting cyber twist.

While the book is a quick read (I blasted through it in an afternoon), it still feels like there's too much setup to get to the interesting parts. Early chapters are spent hammering in that Peter is a dunce at computers, or that Terry is an absolute jerk. I was about 25-30% into the book before I felt it was getting to the point. While this book is probably best enjoyed by teens and younger adults, I think there's enough here of interest to general fantasy fans. There are hints of greater things to come, and I look forward to further books in the series.
